I am so excited to create a platform where women can come together to embrace, empower and support each other. I don’t know about you, but I love watching my sisters thrive and be their best selves. While we are all capable of being our very best, let’s be honest- it’s hard AF to get there, especially when we are constantly being told that we are not GOOD ENOUGH, PRETTY ENOUGH, SMART ENOUGH, TALL ENOUGH, THIN ENOUGH and the list goes on.
Has someone ever taken a picture of you, then you looked at it and said, “God, I look fat”, “eww, I need a tan”, or perhaps, “that’s a bad angle”? Then you instantly retake the picture, this time sucking in your belly or adjusting yourself to look more appealing. How do I know you so well, you ask? Because, we all share these body shaming habits. This is how we have been conditioned to view ourselves. The images we see everyday tell us that we should look a certain way, dress a certain way or behave a certain way in order to GOOD ENOUGH, PRETTY ENOUGH, SMART ENOUGH… (Full disclaimer, the models in the magazines and on Instagram don’t really look like their pictures.) I mean come on, we all know those filters work magic, but let’s not hide behind photoshop.
